About Jonathan

Jonathan Clements is an attorney at Rountree Leitman Klein & Geer, LLC with over two decades of experience guiding clients through complex legal and financial challenges. He brings a depth of knowledge in consumer and business bankruptcy, restructuring, and related litigation, representing clients in both state and federal courts across Georgia.

Jonathan began his legal career as a staff attorney for a Chapter 13 Trustee in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Georgia, where he gained deep insight into the bankruptcy process from an institutional perspective. This foundational experience provided him with a thorough understanding of how trustees evaluate cases, administer plans, and interact with debtors and creditors—knowledge that continues to inform his practice and benefit his clients today.

In private practice, Jonathan has focused on consumer and business bankruptcy, restructuring, and debtor/creditor litigation. He has represented individual debtors, businesses, institutional creditors, and trustees in a wide range of bankruptcy and insolvency matters, including cases under Chapter 7, Chapter 11, and Chapter 13 of the Bankruptcy Code. His extensive litigation experience encompasses discovery, pleadings, dispositive motions, trials, and appeals. Jonathan is known for his strategic approach to case planning, his skill in negotiation, and his ability to advocate effectively for his clients’ interests at every stage of a proceeding.

Jonathan earned his law degree from Georgia State University College of Law in 2003 and holds a bachelor’s degree in advertising from the University of Georgia. His background in marketing and communications enhances his ability to understand the operational needs of business clients and develop practical, results-oriented legal strategies. Jonathan is admitted to practice in all Georgia state courts, the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Middle Districts of Georgia, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.
